Association Activity : The Boards of Directors of the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) and the Japan Motor Industrial Federation (JMIF) have jointly decided to study the feasibility of integrating their two organizations into a single entity, aiming at a merger in May 2002. A special committee, provisionally named the Integration Preparatory Committee, is being established to research and carry out all the necessary preparations for the planned integration.
